At 7:25am on Monday, June 3, 2018, I received a phone call from the hospital informing me my mother has gone into cardiac arrest and I needed to get there as soon as possible. My heart sank. Time froze. My mom was in a hospital in Iowa and I was in New Jersey...no one could reach my dad on the phone.
All things considered
"How are you doing....all things considered?" Is probably my favorite condolence. It makes me smile and think of NPR's All Things Considered voice. And to be honest, all things considered, I am doing alright.
