I was raised to be a good girl. Perfectionism was desired. Mistakes were often met with parental disappointment and internal feelings of shame and guilt. As an adult, the world affirmed this need to chase perfectionism. The boss that yells at little mistakes, the colleague who cares more about deadlines than bottom lines...

For years I chased perfectionism, while continuing to produce less than perfect results. I refused to let perfection stand in the way of doing the bold and brave things. I imperfectly taught students for 7 years. Despite my imperfections, they succeeded. I imperfectly founded a CrossFit gym, hired staff and built a community. Despite my imperfections, the gym is still standing and staff is thriving. I imperfectly led nonprofit organizations, hired staff, and raised money. Despite my imperfections, I made a difference in the #hoboken community.

You will never be perfect. Period. Action > Perceived perfection. In the words of Ashley Stahl, “Perfectionism is the enemy of action.”

What action would you take today if you knew it would be absolutely perfect? What dream would you run towards if you knew it was the perfect time? Most importantly, whoo will help you slay the enemy of perfection and hold you accountable for taking action?

Today is the day you take action! I’m here to help you silence the enemy of perfectionism. The perfectly imperfect time is now. Schedule a Conversation with Katie and see how OWL coaching can help you embrace the perfectly imperfect person you already are.
