Right where I need to be
I’m grateful for all the times I’ve danced with failure. She’s led me right to where I need to be. Nothing humbles a human quite like failure. It reminds you whoo is in charge. And it brings you right where you need to be; a street called humility. I’ve been humbled several times throughout my life, and I’m so grateful for it.
Five years ago I took a leap of faith and trusted that God would provide. I danced with possibility, pursued my passions, and found a renewed sense of purpose serving as an executive director for a local non-profit mentoring program for children. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve my community. And for the opportunity to serve a mission and vision that TRUE-ly spoke right to what I believe is the catalyst for change; relationships. Relationships unearth excellence in humans. Just ask Jesus. He was great at relationships. I’m so grateful for everyone I met along the way.
Today, I’m grateful I’m not afraid to break the rules and take risks, both personally and professionally. And for those who supported me along the way, I can’t thank you enough. You made everything possible. Truly, I’m just a girl with a dream without you.
I’m incredibly grateful for learning to trust myself again, and allowing myself to let go of the fears and doubts, so that I can continue to share my superpowers with the world. I’m grateful for my faith, family, and friends whoo believe in me, and love me, even when I wasn’t so sure I deserved it. They’ve supported me every step of the way and loved me so hard, even when I didn’t feel deserving.
Today I’m grateful to be right where I am today. I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned and the connections I’ve made; it’s led me here to you.
Today, I’m grateful to be sitting in my corner office, surrounded by windows so my ADD has an outlet, sharing my gratitude with you.
