Day 2 of Forgiveness
If you haven’t signed up for the May Mental Health Challenge: 30 Days of Forgiveness, you can sign up here and read OWL about the challenge and Day 1 here.
Forgiveness creates more capacity. Forgiveness is Arrival—it’s the closing of a cycle, a cycle of grief. Tune in to the song below and contemplate what The Point of Arrival is, where you have yet to ‘arrive’ and what you’re ready to ‘accept.’
Theme Song - The Point of Arrival
Step 1 - Watch the music video below and contemplate what the lyrics mean to you.
Step 2 - Listen to the song again, only this time DANCE! Notice how your body wants to move, allowing your body to 'experience' what The Point of Arrival (acceptance) means to you.
Step 3 - Listen to the song a 3rd time and make a list of OWL that you still need to accept, forgive, and just allow to be what it is right now.
Step 4 - Continue adding to your list as things slowly surface for you. Perhaps even go for a walk or hit the gym and contemplate the song yet again.
Step 5 - Begin a daily gratitude practice in the morning and in the evening. Add it to something you already practice in the morning and in the evening, i.e. brushing your teeth (write a post it on the mirror to remind you in the morning/evening) or something else that will hold you accountable.
What was that experience like for you? What did you ‘observe’ about yourself? More importantly, what is holding you back from joining the 30 days of forgiveness challenge, say OWL do it and sign up already!? Haha kidding, more importantly, what are you learning about forgiveness, acceptance, and gratitude? Give a hoot and leave your thoughts below!
